Pocket wall files are a very versatile and useful storage solution for both office and home areas.  They can be used as both a filing and organizing solution, and as a storage and display solution for magazines and light weight books.

Pocket wall files come in a variety of sizes and styles.  First of all is the width – although it’s standard for wall files to be roughly the width of a letter page, some are wider in order to be able to hold landscape pages.  The wall file should also be built to comfortably hold the pages once you put them in the file – if the front cover is too low, the pages may fall out easily and you’ll have a big mess on your hands.

You can buy pocket wall files with anywhere from 2 up to 12 or more pockets, and obviously the more you buy the larger the file will be.  One useful thing that many companies have is a flexible system where you can buy add-ons for the files at later dates, so you can essentially build the wall file to be whatever size you need.  This is particularly handy if you’re not sure how much space the wall file will take up or how it will look in your office, as you can test it out and if you like it, expand the file size to become more useful.

They also come in a range of colors and there is also some variation in style, in terms of the overall look of the files.  Some are sharp and angular, while others try to present a curvier look.  It’s worth looking around and seeing what different possibilities are available before rushing to buy anything, and also consider before you start shopping what kind of files might best suit the place where you are planning to put them.
